DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Ford Civil were engaged by the lead design and construct builder for the Heffron Centre development project, ADCO Construction, to complete the main civil and remediation works, providing specialist services including hazardous materials removal and demolition, bulk and detailed excavation, remediation, installation of key infrastructure services, piling and foundation works, asphalt pavement and carpark construction works.

The construction of the Heffron Centre includes indoor multi-purpose and dedicated gymnastic facility, South Sydney Rabbitohs community and high-performance centre and will include vehicle and bus parking servicing the Heffron Centre, landscaping to integrate the centre with Heffron Park, and rugby league standard training field to NRL requirements.

KEY FEATURES
• Demolition of existing Squash and Gymnastics Buildings and Clubhouse
• Bulk earthworks including remediation, Capping & Containment, and Cut & Fill
• Design, install and certification of piling works
• Detailed excavation for lift pit; pool; pad footings; flood lights, pylon sign, sporting equipment, fence and retaining wall footings; and park furniture slabs
• Supply & installation of rainwater tanks and infiltration tank, stormwater management and drainage work, and subsoil drainage including all pipe works, pits, grates, trench drains, and backfilling
• Construction of all pavement types, decomposed granite paving, and carpark including the asphalt pavement, kerbs and gutters, median strips and V drains
