DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
Ford Civil were engaged by City of Sydney to complete high-quality recreational and open space facilities at Annandale. The project brought together existing well-loved parks and new land areas; Federal Park and a new open space with frontage to The Crescent. The parklands had been created through a reclamation process and contained uncontrolled fill. The site had an elevation close to sea level and in close proximity to Rozelle Bay and Johnstons Creek. These factors suggested a groundwater level close to the ground surface and due to the site’s past industrial usage, the site contained levels of contamination.
