DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Conversion of the vacant, former water police site at Pyrmont to an architecturally designed park. Works included road, park and marine components. A unique playground with numerous original play items and the use of heritage sandstone, extensive ecologically friendly stormwater harvesting system, creation of an opening / inlet into the park surrounded by architectural precast concrete, services, numerous trees planted, turf and roadworks combine for a completely new, innovative and prestigious park on the Pyrmont Foreshore.

• 300 000 L precast stormwater harvesting tank for park irrigation
• Cliff face stairway access works
• Reconstruction of road, footpath and associated services
• Extensive marine piling, seawall retaining structure & Water Taxi Pontoon installation
• New inlet / bay opening
• Demolition, excavation and construction in marine / tidal zones
• Precast supply and installation of 1t to 15t panels in tidal zones
• Solar powered park lighting / new substation
• Masonry work to heritage stone / cliff side public stair
• Street furniture including new playground, incorporating multiple ‘unique’ play features, 3 large shade pavilions, Timber decking and boardwalk and Numerous furniture and high-grade architectural finish
