DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Ford Civil were engaged by Cricket NSW to perform the early works for the new NSW Cricket Centre at Wilson Park in Silverwater. Cricket NSW will be relocating their headquarters to this new development, which will feature 43 new outdoor practice wickets, along with a full-sized International Cricket Council (ICC) compliant cricket oval. Given the site was located on an environmentally sensitive site with highly contaminated material, including hydrocarbon impacted soils and asbestos previously buried on site, and with Sydney Olympic Park Authorities requirements, excavation works were meticulously monitored by the Ford Civil site team to ensure safety of all site personnel. Ford Civil honed in on delivering the building footprint area ahead of the rest of the site, with the intention of facilitating early commencement for the builder within this area
