DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

The East Tramway Oval project involved the upgrade of the Existing Tramway oval to a high-performance training oval for the Sydney Swans & other sporting organisations. The irrigation, drainage, turf underlay/amendments & turf itself were of the highest specification to match the conditions at the adjacent Sydney Cricket Ground & other professional stadiums. In order to facilitate the oval re-construction, the existing bus loop & shelters had to be re-located off the existing Anzac Parade busway. This included 3 new state-of-the art bus shelters, construction of a new roadway & extension of the existing forecourt (including stormwater upgrade & landscaping/planting). Ford were engaged on a D&C (Design & Construct) basis for the project and as-such had to liaise with a number of designers, consultants & authority bodies to produce the ‘For-Construction’ drawings/specification for the project.
