Ford Civil were engaged by Sydney Airport, to undertake the replacement of several concrete slabs along the INTL Concrete Slab Replacement airside. The works involved the demolition of the approx. 1800m2 of the existing concrete slabs and their subsequent replacement using high specification concrete.

This included the construction of a new Cement Treated Blast Furnace Installation basecourse, new Airfield Ground lighting and sequenced line marking. The project presented logistical challenge due the security procedures required to get to site, as well as extensive quality assurance requirements associated with such a high- performance pavement.
