Each within sensitive, live educational environments. Works were carefully staged and, where required, scheduled during school holiday periods to minimise disruption and to ensure the safety of students, staff, and the wider community.

Across the projects, Ford Civil undertook demolition, vegetation management and remediation including the offsite disposal of hazardous materials (i.e. asbestos, heavy metals, and hydrocarbons), all in strict accordance with approved Remediation Action Plans (RAPs) and environmental regulations. Stringent controls such as air monitoring and dust suppression were implemented to manage risk and maintain compliance throughout all phases of delivery. Each site was capped with a combination of high visibility marker layer, geogrid and imported validated fill material.

In addition to remediation, Ford Civil successfully delivered a range of new infrastructure and landscape outcomes tailored to each school’s needs. These included the construction of multipurpose sports courts, playgrounds, synthetic fields, driveways, and bespoke elements such as modular timber decks and sandstone seating.

Through careful planning, technical expertise, and a strong focus on safety and environmental management, Ford Civil transformed contaminated and underutilised areas into safe, functional, and engaging spaces for school communities.
