DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
Ford Civil Contracting are currently delivering the Barton Park Recreational Precinct for Bayside Council (NSW). This upgrade, located in Banksia, will develop a new open-space sporting precinct along the Rockdale Wetlands Corridor, providing new walking and cycle connections to the growing population of Arncliffe, Rockdale, and Banksia. The new sporting precinct will feature three full-sized football pitches, four tennis courts, two multi- purpose sports courts, new clubhouses and amenities, a grandstand with tiered seating, new playground areas and additional carparks. This will provide the Bayside Council community with more opportunities to engage in a range of sports, leisure, and recreational activities.
KEY FEATURES
• Demolition of the old St George Football Club Grandstand and construct a brand new tiered concrete seating grandstand.
• Construction of new clubhouses and amenities building works.
• Site remediation of asbestos contaminated soils as well as ground gas ventilation works.
• Bulk and detailed earthworks, as well as site-wide high energy impact compaction rolling.
• Stormwater, electrical and hydraulic services trenching and installation.
• Elevated boardwalk along Muddy Creek.
• Construction of multi-use sporting and tennis courts.
• Timber piling works for the grandstand, keystone and concrete retaining walls and sportsfield lightpole installation works.
• Construction of subsoil drainage and irrigation works for football fields.
• Site-wide landscaping and planting works.
