Cap and contain remediation project consisting of design and installation of a clay capping layer at a former waste facility site in Riverstone, NSW

Works included:

• Extensive cut and fill activities (approximately 15,000m³) carried out under rigorous asbestos and environmental management controls including dust and odour monitoring and management;
• Importation of 45,000m³ of clay material, placement, compaction and construction of 1.5m thick impermeable clay capping across entire former waste disposal location on site;
• Construction of stormwater management / control features to ensure sufficient site drainage around the perimeter of the containment cell area.
